Alamar has now restricted even possibility to play on FICS as guest,
here is reason : he killed in simul even 2600 player team
and he founded that even 2600 player on FICS is missing m3,
so is not pleasant for FICS publicity
and relationships betweens admins and some buggers seems started working hehe

PS. Alamar saying that on FICS is several active dupes that has good relationships with admins and using some technologies how to play rated simul bughouse. Its easy to get info: just one or two day watch all who playing on FICS and look on power and style of play.
PS. I am more and more happy that I started to writing DCBN multiplayer software, now I can play some way with any friends bughouse and I am no more depended on FICS admins and drivers if I wish training and improving in real bughouse.
I feel so freedom now and is very pleasant to be depend on to have good opponents and friends playing bughouse, but not to need some FICS where all is restricted and that is few years older from technology view and buggers needs that should be. But I am also no more interrested to offer any improvements on fics from bughouse view, because FICS drivers not listen and had no vision what to do with future and only keepeng this "old car" in run. But is good to have some place when can be 50 buggers in one moment, because in present is no other way how to contact other players that using some icq or FICS or any such place like any ICC server where peoples meeting and chat. And when all 4 players have good low lag (and behaviour) is FICS working still good as in past when the bughouse was only on FICS. But even in such moment real bughouse over the real board is if compare with FICS something amazing and something what we can call the chess  I saw so many peoples that without virtual board support or without some computer sources using on FICS are so weak in some moments OTB that i totally prefer to be as close to reality as possible
So who wish use some bots and any cheating on FICS, I like any king of challenge sometimes,
but if You start talking about real power,
analyse games please and also try play real OTB bughouse, because reality is important, not virtual dream |

Heh after several months i returned to fics and have to say, i didnt missed it,
i discovered world without FICS and now understand why WhoIAmI escaped from FICS.
FICS is the same still:
stupid discussions about ratings, peoples rather sit 30minutes than playing few rated agains weaker opps, and most funny was that some GuestPZNM partnering mobgangster (C) and didnt played any bughouse game over 10 hours ... (I looked 3x in the day and into database),
heh and notified me, maybe Marv blocked computer ?
Well the same comedy, the behaviour of fics buggers is very hostile, I am quite happy that DoubleChessBoard with bronstein exists, looks like the right way of friends game focused on good moves
Well best way is to go far in the way of independent small servers network,
to make environment where moves will be discussed and game improved, rather than wasting time by things similar like described above. |
